And all the people likewise cut down every man his bough, and followed Abimelech, and put them to the hold, and set the hold on fire upon them; so that all the men of the tower of Shechem died also, about a thousand men and women. And there fell of Benjamin eighteen thousand men; all these were men of valour. And Ehud escaped while they tarried, and passed beyond the quarries, and escaped unto Seirath. And the angel of the LORD appeared unto the woman, and said unto her, Behold now, thou art barren, and bearest not: but thou shalt conceive, and bear a son.

And the LORD was with Judah; and he drave out the inhabitants of the mountain; but could not drive out the inhabitants of the valley, because they had chariots of iron. So the children of Israel served Eglon the king of Moab eighteen years. And Israel was greatly impoverished because of the Midianites; and the children of Israel cried unto the LORD. And the children of Benjamin did so, and took them wives, according to their number, of them that danced, whom they caught: and they went and returned unto their inheritance, and repaired the cities, and dwelt in them. And a certain woman cast a piece of a millstone upon Abimelech’s head, and all to brake his skull. Then went Samson to Gaza, and saw there an harlot, and went in unto her.

And, behold, as Barak pursued Sisera, Jael came out to meet him, and said unto him, Come, and I will shew thee the man whom thou seekest. And when he came into her tent, behold, Sisera lay dead, and the nail was in his temples. And it came to pass in process of time, that the children of Ammon made war against Israel. And the children of Benjamin came forth out of Gibeah, and destroyed down to the ground of the Israelites that day twenty and two thousand men.
