So the children of Israel served Eglon the king of Moab eighteen years. Then the Philistines said, Who hath done this? And they answered, Samson, the son in law of the Timnite, because he had taken his wife, and given her to his companion. And the Philistines came up, and burnt her and her father with fire. And all the people arose as one man, saying, We will not any of us go to his tent, neither will we any of us turn into his house. And the children of Benjamin said, They are smitten down before us, as at the first. But the children of Israel said, Let us flee, and draw them from the city unto the highways.
