Howbeit the hair of his head began to grow again after he was shaven. And they buried him in the border of his inheritance in Timnathheres, in the mount of Ephraim, on the north side of the hill Gaash. Therefore on that day he called him Jerubbaal, saying, Let Baal plead against him, because he hath thrown down his altar. At her feet he bowed, he fell, he lay down: at her feet he bowed, he fell: where he bowed, there he fell down dead.

And it came to pass, when the angel of the LORD spake these words unto all the children of Israel, that the people lifted up their voice, and wept. And Jerubbaal the son of Joash went and dwelt in his own house. Neither did Zebulun drive out the inhabitants of Kitron, nor the inhabitants of Nahalol; but the Canaanites dwelt among them, and became tributaries.

Therefore the LORD left those nations, without driving them out hastily; neither delivered he them into the hand of Joshua. Now the children of Judah had fought against Jerusalem, and had taken it, and smitten it with the edge of the sword, and set the city on fire. Blessed above women shall Jael the wife of Heber the Kenite be, blessed shall she be above women in the tent.

And they said one to another, Who hath done this thing? And when they enquired and asked, they said, Gideon the son of Joash hath done this thing. And he had thirty sons that rode on thirty ass colts, and they had thirty cities, which are called Havothjair unto this day, which are in the land of Gilead.
