And when he shewed them the entrance into the city, they smote the city with the edge of the sword; but they let go the man and all his family. Then the men of Israel said unto Gideon, Rule thou over us, both thou, and thy son, and thy son’s son also: for thou hast delivered us from the hand of Midian.
