And Sisera gathered together all his chariots, even nine hundred chariots of iron, and all the people that were with him, from Harosheth of the Gentiles unto the river of Kishon. She put her hand to the nail, and her right hand to the workmen’s hammer; and with the hammer she smote Sisera, she smote off his head, when she had pierced and stricken through his temples. And Gaal spake again, and said, See there come people down by the middle of the land, and another company come along by the plain of Meonenim. And the house of Joseph, they also went up against Bethel: and the LORD was with them.

And the LORD said, Judah shall go up first. But there was a strong tower within the city, and thither fled all the men and women, and all they of the city, and shut it to them, and gat them up to the top of the tower. And Israel set liers in wait round about Gibeah. And this is the thing that ye shall do, Ye shall utterly destroy every male, and every woman that hath lain by man. Howbeit the king of the children of Ammon hearkened not unto the words of Jephthah which he sent him. And Israel was greatly impoverished because of the Midianites; and the children of Israel cried unto the LORD.
