And Israel set liers in wait round about Gibeah. Hear, O ye kings; give ear, O ye princes; I, even I, will sing unto the LORD; I will sing praise to the LORD God of Israel. And Samson lay till midnight, and arose at midnight, and took the doors of the gate of the city, and the two posts, and went away with them, bar and all, and put them upon his shoulders, and carried them up to the top of an hill that is before Hebron. And he gathered unto him the children of Ammon and Amalek, and went and smote Israel, and possessed the city of palm trees.

Out of Ephraim was there a root of them against Amalek; after thee, Benjamin, among thy people; out of Machir came down governors, and out of Zebulun they that handle the pen of the writer. So all the men of Israel were gathered against the city, knit together as one man. So his father went down unto the woman: and Samson made there a feast; for so used the young men to do.
