And she said unto her father, Let this thing be done for me: let me alone two months, that I may go up and down upon the mountains, and bewail my virginity, I and my fellows. And they slew of Moab at that time about ten thousand men, all lusty, and all men of valour; and there escaped not a man. And she said unto him, The Philistines be upon thee, Samson. And he brake the withs, as a thread of tow is broken when it toucheth the fire. So his strength was not known. Then died Ibzan, and was buried at Bethlehem. And he smote them hip and thigh with a great slaughter: and he went down and dwelt in the top of the rock Etam. And Gideon came to Jordan, and passed over, he, and the three hundred men that were with him, faint, yet pursuing them.
And, behold, there came an old man from his work out of the field at even, which was also of mount Ephraim; and he sojourned in Gibeah: but the men of the place were Benjamites.
