And Elon the Zebulonite died, and was buried in Aijalon in the country of Zebulun. And Abimelech came unto the tower, and fought against it, and went hard unto the door of the tower to burn it with fire. And when the man rose up to depart, he, and his concubine, and his servant, his father in law, the damsel’s father, said unto him, Behold, now the day draweth toward evening, I pray you tarry all night: behold, the day groweth to an end, lodge here, that thine heart may be merry; and to morrow get you early on your way, that thou mayest go home. So that all which fell that day of Benjamin were twenty and five thousand men that drew the sword; all these were men of valour. And when he had set the brands on fire, he let them go into the standing corn of the Philistines, and burnt up both the shocks, and also the standing corn, with the vineyards and olives.
