And Deborah arose, and went with Barak to Kedesh. And Samson said unto them, I will now put forth a riddle unto you: if ye can certainly declare it me within the seven days of the feast, and find it out, then I will give you thirty sheets and thirty change of garments: But if ye cannot declare it me, then shall ye give me thirty sheets and thirty change of garments. And they said unto him, Put forth thy riddle, that we may hear it. And the men of Judah said, Why are ye come up against us? And they answered, To bind Samson are we come up, to do to him as he hath done to us. And he said unto her, If they bind me fast with new ropes that never were occupied, then shall I be weak, and be as another man.
Blessed above women shall Jael the wife of Heber the Kenite be, blessed shall she be above women in the tent. But Ehud made him a dagger which had two edges, of a cubit length; and he did gird it under his raiment upon his right thigh. And they said unto him, Ask counsel, we pray thee, of God, that we may know whether our way which we go shall be prosperous. And he went down, and talked with the woman; and she pleased Samson well.

And the children of Israel did evil again in the sight of the LORD, and served Baalim, and Ashtaroth, and the gods of Syria, and the gods of Zidon, and the gods of Moab, and the gods of the children of Ammon, and the gods of the Philistines, and forsook the LORD, and served not him. And the men of Israel went out to battle against Benjamin; and the men of Israel put themselves in array to fight against them at Gibeah. Therefore the LORD left those nations, without driving them out hastily; neither delivered he them into the hand of Joshua.
